TITAN Greece publishes the 2023 Sustainability Report

and business milestones of the year, highlighting the company's ongoing commitment to sustainable development
The Sustainability Report 2023 is published by TITAN Greece, which for the first time takes the form of a modern microsite. The Report includes all aspects of the business activity of TITAN and INTERBETON and presents the progress and main achievements of 2023, a year in which Greece achieved very good performance driven by the continued high growth of the domestic market.
In 2023, TITAN in Greece implemented new investments aimed at growth, intensified efforts towards a carbon neutral footprint, promoted the availability of new, innovative green products and solutions, and maximized the use of digital technologies.
By maintaining the main indicators for occupational health and safety within the targets, the Company continued with a high sense of responsibility to take care of its employees, partners, the environment and local communities through actions.

Main elements of the Greece Sustainable Development Report 2023:
- Strong performance with turnover of €407.8 million, significant increase in revenue and profitability that allowed the acceleration of notable achievements. The driving force for the expansion of profitability was the continued high growth of the domestic market with an increase in cement demand to 3.7 million tons.
- Accelerating efforts to reduce carbon emissions, achieving a 10.2% reduction in specific net CO emissions2 compared to 2020. The pre-calciner at the Kamari plant, which has been operating since the second half of 2023, will further increase the use of alternative fuels by almost 200,000 tons and contribute to the reduction of CO emissions.2 by 150,000 annually.
- Taking action to mitigate climate change through investments of €19.2 million and a firm commitment to protecting natural resources and biodiversity in the areas of activity.
- Conclusion of a long-term power purchase agreement (Power Purchase Agreement – PPA), ensuring electricity that will come from renewable energy sources.
- Emphasis on low carbon footprint products, which constitute over 37% of Titan's portfolio. Further enrichment of the palette of cementitious products with a lower carbon footprint and securing the long-term needs of TITAN Group in pozzolan, with the Group's strategic participation in the company Aegean Perlites.
- Maximizing the use of digital tools and adopting new technologies, such as the use of automation systems and real-time optimization algorithms, yielding significant results in terms of increased productivity and reduced energy consumption.
- Investments of €18.6 million in research, development and innovation activities, covering the entire value chain of cement, concrete and cement-based products production and distribution, with an emphasis on carbon footprint reduction, digital transformation and competitiveness.
- Promoting diversity, equality and inclusion, with an indicative example being the participation of women in administrative roles at a rate of 23%.
- Implementation of 117 partnership initiatives with local communities and a firm commitment to continuous interaction with Titan's stakeholders in all areas of activity. Donation by TITAN and the Paul & Alexandra Kanellopoulos Foundation, amounting to €3 million, for immediate and long-term actions aimed at restoring areas of Greece affected by fires and floods, with the project for the region of Western Attica having already been implemented.
